DPLenticular Ltd. participates in many events – proof enough of the ever-growing interest in lenticular technology.

DP Lenticular will be in Liège in December to exhibit the nominees of the Lenstar Lenticular Print Award 2011.

“Do you know which city in Europe will have the highest concentration of “3D”, in terms of international experts, equipments, presentations, movies, and projects during the week of 5-9 Dec.? It is Liège, Belgium, the “City of Images”, which has one of the highest concentration of “3D” companies in Europe.”

Dimension 3, the international forum on S3D and new images, came back at the famous Pullman Dock in La Plaine Saint Denis, near Paris on 24, 25 et 26th  May 2011.

DPLenticular and www.lenstar.org, have teamed up to create the Lenstar Lenticular Print Award. This award, the first of its kind, has specifically been created to reward and encourage the development and use of lenticular printing throughout the marketing and communication mix. This new award is an incredible opportunity for the graphic arts community to recognize the growing importance of lenticular imaging as a product differentiator and a mechanism for ensuring that promotional efforts stand out from the crowd.

 

 

The winners of the Lenstar Lenticular Print Award 2011 edition are published on the LLPA website. All entries were shown on the large LLPA stand, and with more than 3500 visitors representing 32 countries attending last year’s edition, this created an enormous visibility, both for lenticular print and the participating companies.

 

For the first edition of digi:media trade show in Düsselfdorf, DP Lenticular was part of the challenge for this new initiative and was showing the advantages of printed 3D communication.

The fifth UV DAYS organized by IST took place from 16th to 19th May 2011. IST is  providing visitors from Germany and around the world with information about innovations and the facts about UV technology since 2002.

Previous events:

From  8 to 10th of December 2010 we were promoting lenticular printing at 3D Stereo Media in Liège (Belgium)

The feedback from many attendees, the echos in the general and specialized press, as well as the observations by the organizers all lead to the conclusion that the 2nd edition of 3D Stereo MEDIA was a complete success.

The following, approximate statistics speak for themselves:

- 800 professionals attendees

- 80 speakers from 18 countries

- 50 movies from 15 countries

- 50 exhibitors from 6 countries

- 9 technology demonstrations.

Just as the overall, multi-facetted 3D Stereo MEDIA event is establishing itself as one of the major international events fully dedicated to 3D stereo (and beyond), its 3D Film Festival is also becoming recognized as the main international film festival fully dedicated to 3D movies, certainly in Europe, and probably beyond.

Awards

Seven prizes were awarded during the « Perrons of Crystal » gala evening, held at the Cinema Sauvenière, and named after the custom-made works of arts given to the winners of the Film Festival, presided by Ben Stassen. These awards are pyramids of crystal that symbolize the « Perron of Liège, » a historical monument of Liège celebrating the freedom of its inhabitants.

1. Perron of Crystal awards for the best 3D movies:

Best feature movie: “Amphibious” (The Netherlands)

Best short movie: “Elephants Dream” (The Netherlands)

Best documentary : “Sea Rex” aka “Océanosaures 3D” (France)

Best live capture: “Une Nuit au Cirque” (France)

Public’s choice Award: “Kaeloo, si on jouait à la quête du Greul ! ” (France)

2. Award the for best 3D company in Wallonia: to EVS.

3. Award for the best scientific poster: to Sammy Rogmans from the University of Hasselt, Belgium.

The 3rd edition of 3D Stereo MEDIA will be held in Liège, Belgium on 7, 8, and 9 December 2011. Please, mark your calendar now.

With 3,500 visitors from 30 countries, Dimension3 has more than tripled its attendance from the previous year. Most key players in the 3D industry were present: 52 exhibitors and 120 speakers, both French and international, have shared experiences and research results, and presented the latest 3D technologies. By using a second conference room, the event could cater to more specific fields such as visualization, augmented reality, medicine and research.
